These genuine edible 23 karat gold leaf transfers are great for adding a touch of luxury to your cakes and desserts. Each gold leaf is mounted by pressure to individual tissue pages. The leaf will stay on the tissue until it is pressed onto the prepared surface and the tissue baking is removed. Transfers are suitable for flat surfaces and can be cut and used like a transfer picture.

Gold leaf has been used for centuries as decoration for the most lavish table settings and lucullan feasts. Packed in a booklet of 25 gold leaf, each gold leaf measures to the standard European size of 80 x 80mm (3.2" square) and less than 0.000125 mm or .13 microns thin. When consumed these edible gold leaf disintegrates in the mouth without flavour, but beautifully enhances edible delights.

Important note: These gold leaf transfers are extremely delicate so extreme care must be taken when taking them out of packaging. When removing sheets, please do so slowly as due to its thin sheets, they can fold over very easily. Gilder's Knife/Gilder's Tip/Tweezers are recommended tools for handling this product.
