Frequently Asked Questions

What piping tips are best for beginners?

Frill tips produce beautiful results but do require a steady hand and consistent bag pressure to keep the frill even. For beginners, it's worth practising on baking paper first to get the rhythm right before piping directly onto a cake. If you're just starting out, a round or star tip set is a gentler first step — once you're confident, frill tips are a wonderful way to add elegant texture.

Does this set come with a coupler?

No — these frill tips fit an Ateco standard coupler, which is not included. These tips are wider than standard decorating tips, so it is important to use a compatible large-opening coupler. Check our piping accessories range for compatible couplers.
