These genuine edible 23 karat gold leaves loose by Gold Gourmet are an ideal way to add a touch of luxury to your desserts, food & beverages. Each gold leaf is inserted between bound tissues pages of a book. Unlike gold leaf transfers, loose leafs are not pressed onto the tissue and can be moved using tweezers.
Edible gold leaf has been used for centuries as decoration for the most lavish table settings and lucullan feasts. Packed in a booklet of 25 gold leaf, each gold leaf measures to the standard European size of 80 x 80mm (3.2" square) and less than 0.000125 mm or .13 microns thin. When consumed these edible gold leaf disintegrates in the mouth without flavour, but beautifully enhances edible delights.

Important note: These loose edible gold leaves are extremely delicate so extreme care must be taken when taking them out of packaging. When removing sheets, please do so slowly as due to its thin sheets, they can fold over very easily. Gilder's Knife/Gilder's Tip/Tweezers are recommended tools for handling this product.
