This LorAnn Oils Clove Flavouring (Eugenia caryophyllata) is a pure, natural essential oil and is used as a flavoring as well as in aromatherapy. It is 3 to 4 times stronger than grocery store extracts. 1 dram is about 1 teaspoon or 3.7ml. When substituting LorAnn Oils Clove Flavour for extracts, use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon for 1 teaspoon of extract.
LorAnn Oils Clove Flavouring are not oil based, does not contain vegetable oil and unlike extracts it's flavour does not diminish when exposed to high heat. LorAnn Oils Clove Flavour is suitable for hard candy, general candy making, cakes, cookies, frosting, ice cream and a wide variety of other baking and confectionery applications.
